Conservation researcher
Ana Rita Patrício

I am a conservation scientist researching marine turtles and their habitats, mostly in West Africa, hoping to contribute to their conservation by informing biodiversity managers and stakeholders. My research involves several aspects of sea turtle ecology, including spatial distribution, migrations and connectivity, foraging ecology, population dynamics, climate change impacts and emerging diseases.

Presently, I have a Junior Leader Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at MARE – Marine and Environmental Sciences CentreISPA, Instituto Universitário, and I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Exeter.

Yesterday was video night at the #ISTS41 ! So many wonderful projects and people working hard to protect #seaturtles 🐢and our oceans 🌊 the @ibapgbissau and the @PNBancarguin and @ExeterMarine @ispamedia were also represented in the videos ❤️

Today at the #seaturtle #ISTS41 we had the Africa Regional meeting! Unfortunately most African colleagues were absent as they did not get visas 🤬but amazing to learn about different projects in so many countries 🙌🏻🌊🐢 @Atlant_Migrants @TurtleFound @FMB_CaboVerde @ibapgbissau
